“1919” — the house with the white bear
We’re in the Moskovsky District. Kolya Tomchak Street. A 2-minute walk to the “Moskovskie Vorota” metro station. A 15-minute drive to Nevsky Prospekt.
The “1919” building was designed by Sergey Oreshkin’s architectural firm “A.Len.” The facades are clad in natural stone and architectural concrete.
The facade features a strict grid pattern. The floors are connected by bold horizontal bands that create a sense of solidity and visually “ground” the building.
The upper floors are framed by tall openings, creating a crown-like effect that makes the silhouette clearly visible from a distance. The building appears both modern and classic.
Inside, there is a spacious lobby with a fireplace, a library, and a coworking space. The enclosed courtyard is designed as a small private garden with benches for relaxing.
A large white bear sits in the courtyard, gazing thoughtfully at the sky.
