Frequently Asked Questions About the “Tipografiya” Project
What is the “Tipografiya” art cluster, and how does it differ from other complexes in the city center?
“Typography” is an RBI restoration project on the site of Synodal Printing House No. 12, an architectural monument built in 1888–1889. Unlike most other residential complexes in the city center, the building’s original features have been preserved here—Metlakh tiles, cast-iron slabs, and printing type—and instead of standard apartment layouts, the project offers unique configurations: attic windows, mezzanines, and duplex units.
Where is the “Tipografiya” Residential Complex located in St. Petersburg?
The residential complex is located in the Central District—at 15 Pravdy Street—a four-minute walk from the Zvenigorodskaya Metro Station and ten minutes from Nevsky Prospect.
What will be in the courtyard?
The “Typography” art cluster will feature an open-air art courtyard and a private garden, connected by an arch. The space will feature green recreational areas and a spot for working outdoors, along with art installations and an exhibition on the history of printing.
What types of apartments are available at “Tipografiya”?
The “Tipografiya” Residential Complex features 179 units across six buildings. Unit sizes range from 18 to 119 square meters. Among the unique layouts are apartments with mansard or arched windows and dormer windows, as well as those with mezzanines and one exclusive two-level unit.
“Tipografiya”—Is it about status or the everyday comfort of the location?
The center of St. Petersburg doesn’t often offer both scenarios at once, but “Tipografiya” combines them: on the one hand, an architectural landmark on the quiet Pravdy Street, away from the tourist crowds; on the other, a coworking space, a fitness center, and 10 commercial spaces surrounding the building, as well as Rubinstein’s restaurants and leading universities just a few minutes’ walk away.
When will the “Tipografiya” complex be completed?
The art cluster, developed by RBI, is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2028.
